Megatron: But don't you see? People have grown too sophisticated for mindless action!
Optimus Prime: They need to go back to the personal level with the emotional arc of starcrossed love
Megatron: Awww...
That vampire diaries guy: Suckeeh!!!
Edward Cullen: It's okay to show your feelings, Rambo (talking to Sylvester Stallone)
Ahahaha they nailed them right.
The vampire craze goes unchecked in Hollywood, until a ragtag
team of long lost action heroes (lead by Sylvester Stallone) take
matters into their own hands.

Today officially starts the countdown of our final week in our very first house here in Surrey (yes, same as Harry Potter's city; coolness, ne?). Built in 1987, this house has given roof over our heads for a year, through rain, sun and snow. But it has done more than just sheltering us; it has been a witness to the many dramas, laughs and all the other heartfelt moments in our trying beginnings in this country.
Losing something dear is never a pleasant feeling. By Canadian standards, this house may not be considered as something big, small even. But to a newly landed immigrant family, it is more than enough, more than blessed to consider it as a home...best described in the words of Lemony Snickets, as a "Sanctuary... a small, safe place in a troubling world. Like an oasis in a vast desert or an island in a stormy sea"
We have once left our home in the Philippines, and I know I'm going to miss this one as much as the other. Each part of this house has been a cradle for the little memories our family has shared as part of its story:
- My closet where there was usually a mountain of filthy clothes, hangers and whatnots
- the die-hard shrub that I have once "trimmed" dead which still continues to bloom as an honest testimony to the perseverance of life
- the carpets, subjected to various tortures because of all my crazy workout antics
- the garage, where, believe it or not, I first learned how to ride the bycicle
- the success and failures of experimental bakings in the kitche
- movie/studying allnighters in the sala
- the parties in the patio
- my infamous bathroom concerts
- the poorly-lit bedrooms
- and everything else
Needless to say, I'm going to miss this home bad. Afterall, we both have an affinity with each other as we both share the same birth years. This doesn't mean though that I'm totally bitter about moving away from this one. But rather, I am hopeful. Hopeful for the new house where we shall continue the sequel of our family's story. Hopefully, it's just as homely as this current one.
Adiós, nuestra casa...

Although not usually described as so, he is an avid guitar player, and is currently fascinated by the songs of The Cure, Glee, Rivermaya and Demi Lovato (he denies this). In his spare time, he likes watching educational shows in the Discovery Channel and NatGeo while skipping through annoying commercials such as shamwow and that dumb snuggies ad.

I whisper this:
let serendipity take its course
over this madness of
violins and moonlit nights while
exiled from
your knowing
of this secret I refuse to confess but
under this instead, I bury.
A poem about a confession of the feeling of love. The poem is directed to no one in particular. But I was just amazed at the idea of hiding an implicit message on the poem without saying it directly, which, if you'd think about it, would be the idea behind many love stories that we see in the movies, hear from friends or experience first-hand.
Note: If you will look at the first letter of each line, you'll get the secret.

It's a basic truth for me that whatever I study, I will eventually come to hate...I'm currently studying for the national exams right now, and I'm not enjoying it. I just hope everything's worth it.

Is it just me or has the whole musical genre become more complicated? I rememeber the simpler times, when songs used to be a lot more easier to identify because they were either just a love song, hip-hop, rock, techno or whatever "as-it-is" type of name given to them.
I guess technology has changed the face of the world, and the music, together with it, of course. This is a complicated generation with the music as the perfect mirror to it. Whatever happened to the plain good old songs in the past? When did genres such as black metal, punk-emo and all of those jibber-jabber technical names get into the picture? No wonder the confusion. It's such a crazy life when people debate on whether a band is one thing or another. Music used to be our universal language...to unify us, not to divide.
Respect, people.
Music is about expressing yourself. Who cares if a band is an emo, punk, metal or whatever cool genres there are? As long as they have good tunes, won't we appreciate it?
Genre doesn't dictate the music, it's the music that dictates the genre.
